special date load for snowflake

Is there a way to achieve this from the Orchestration job / s3 load component?

As a workaround, you could convert the special date or timestamp to a SQL NULL value on load.

For example:

COPY INTO <table> FILE_FORMAT=(NULL_IF = ('0000-00-00'));

Hi Rajish,

Thanks for contacting support. There are a couple of ways. There is a Create File Format Component that can be used to create a new file format in Snowflake. Within this component, there is a property “Null If”. You can set that to “0000-00-00” for that property among the other properties needed per your requirement. Once that new file format is created, then you can use the S3 Load Component specifying that new Format created. The other option is to use a SQL Script component with the Copy Into Statement. The first option may be better as you will have that file format created in Snowflake that can be referenced later. Hope this helps!

Best Regards,
Veronica
