WSDL to generate API Profile?

I've got a WSDL file (XML) that defines a set of APIs. In trying to use the API Profile tool, where does that file need to live? On the server somewhere? On my laptop?

is this even possible to import?

Hi Brian,
You cannot import WSDL files directly to Matillion.

Matillion uses “RSD files” which define the API endpoints, there is plenty of documentation of the support site to dig into but the best place to start is here

What about swagger files?

Hi Brian,

We do not support swagger files.

If you have a JSON or XML file which represents data from an API response, you may use the RSD Generator to generate an API profile.

Please consider this now a suggestion to support API profile imports of WSDL and/or Swagger files.

Thanks!

Hi Brian,

I would like the same feature and recognize the usefulness of what you suggest. Unfortunately, and for the foreseeable future, our API driver is only capable of supporting .rsd files.

Best Regards,
Dave
