INTEGER Data Type Validation in Matillion

Hi All,

I am trying to do data type validation on my source data, NULL/NOT NULL , DATE and INTEGER
I am able to check the data types for NULL/NOT NULL and DATE columns by using replication and filtering them with IF condition and using calculator components and inserting those records in a error table and loading others .

I am not able to see any way of validating INTEGER columns.
Can we do this using any of the methods in Matillion ?
It would be of great help if you can guide me through any of the tutorial or some code snippet for the same.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Nitesh,

Carrying on your approach you could use the calculator component with a REGEX_COUNT to mark a record with a 1 or 0 if it contains an integer. As an example: REGEXP_COUNT ( “column”, ‘^\\d+$’ ) and then use this in a filter.

Regards,
Paul
