How to add a pem file in SSL Root Certificate

Hi, how to add or upload a pem file for my SSL root certificate in Database Query Component. I tried to refer on a link but it wont work, it says Could not open SSL root certificate. The pemfile is provided by our AWS

Hi Ryan,

There are two steps to this:

  1. Download the AWS certificates onto your Matillion instance
  2. Reference the SSL parameters in the Database Query

For step 1, SSH into your instance and issue the following commands:

sudo -i
mkdir /etc/pki/aws
chmod 755 /etc/pki/aws
cd /etc/pki/aws
chmod 644 rds-combined-ca-bundle.pem

For step 2, configure the following Connection Options in your Database Query:

  • sslmode = verify-full
  • sslrootcert = /etc/pki/aws/rds-combined-ca-bundle.pem
