How to Accept 0000-00-00 Dates

Hello -

I have a simple truncate and reload process for a table. However, in my first step (using a database query)....the job will break if ANY of the fields in the table i'm pulling over have 0000-00-00 as a value.

I have seen posts saying to use a step to convert these into a date like 1900-01-01, but this is the very first step of my process.

I have also seen solutions using the copy function and the acceptanydate parameter, but this doesnt seem to work with database queries.

Please help! This seems like a basic thing that should be easy to solve.

Hi James,

I would recommend adjusting the SQL in your Database Query component to translate ‘0000-00-00’ to ‘1900-01-01’. You may use a CASE clause or any function supported by your source database to substitute appropriate value.

Hope that helps.
