Pull data from mysql aurora and load into postgresql rds?

Is it possible to pull data from a mysql aurora instance and load that data into a postgresql rds database? We use both redshift for our data warehouse but are introducing postgreql for our high transaction data which is in aurora mysql and needs to be loaded constantly into postgresql.

Hi Kevin,

Assuming you are referring to Aurora in RDS, yes its possible. However, you’ll need to use Redshift as the staging area.
You may use the RDS Query component to import data from Amazon Aurora into Amazon Redshift. Then use the RDS Bulk Output Component to export from Redshift tables/views to RDS PostgreSQL.

Start → RDS Query (Autora to Redshift) → RDS Bulk Output (Redshift to PostgreSQL)

Hope that helps.
