    Overview

This is a step-by-step guide to acquiring third-party credentials for authorizing the Marketo Query connector for use in Matillion ETL.

This connector uses an OAuth entry for third-party authentication.

While connector properties may differ between cloud data warehouses, the authentication process remains the same.

    Prerequisites

Begin by creating an OAuth entry in Matillion ETL, as described in Manage OAuth. You should then configure this OAuth entry using the Marketo credentials, obtained as described below.

    Acquiring third-party credentials

To configure your OAuth for Marketo, you will need two pieces of information from your Marketo account: a Client Id and a Client Secret.

    1. Log into the Marketo Developer Portal with the account you wish to connect to Matillion ETL.
    2. Click Admin at the top right of the page.
    3. Click LaunchPoint under Integration on the left sidebar menu.
    4. Click View Details next to the service you want to connect to Matillion ETL.
    5. Copy the credentials from both the Client ID and Client Secret fields. These will be required when configuring the OAuth in Matillion ETL in Matillion ETL.
    6. From here, you can also copy the REST API Endpoint, which is required when configuring the Marketo Query component in Matillion ETL and the Marketo pipeline in Matillion Data Loader.
    Note

When copying the credentials, some browsers may add a space to the end of the string. Watch out for this as it will cause the credentials to fail.

    1. Return to the Manage OAuth dialog in Matillion ETL to complete the OAuth configuration.
